The 2020 All Star Game Baseball is here!

Posted on July 25, 2019March 5, 2023 by Eric Abneri

With the reveal of the 2020 ASG logo at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday, I have been searching for the baseball since then. Big thanks to Bret Nelson (@bnelson9 on Twitter) for getting these pics for met at Dodger Stadium today!! The logo is very very small, but that is to be expected. The multicolored stitching…

Pirates commemorate the 1979 team and use their first commem in 18 years!

Posted on July 23, 2019December 15, 2019 by Eric Abneri

On Saturday 7/20/19 the Pittsburgh Pirates used this commemorative baseball featuring the “1979” and “40 Years”. It is the 40th Anniversary of the 1979 World Champion Pirates, their most recent WS championship. When we take a closer look at this seemingly boring logo, it actually shows some fantastic little characteristics. We see the border of…

2019 Futures Game Baseball is Better Late than Never!

Posted on June 28, 2019July 15, 2019 by Eric Abneri

With less than two weeks until the All Star Futures Game, we finally get the design of the baseball, and it is lackluster as expected and very similar to last year. I expect the logo to be slightly smaller than the mockup, but overall we have no surprises, the logo is the same wordmark font…

Unannounced MLB In Omaha Commemorative Baseball gets used!

Posted on June 14, 2019June 27, 2019 by Eric Abneri

MLB who almost always gives advance warning on commemorative, dropped the ball with advance warning on this one. The logo is very clean, the state of Nebraska and both team logos. I know the photo isn’t the best, but I will work on getting a better one sometime soon. A retail version was also released…

Twins use Joe Mauer Number Retirement Commemorative!

Posted on June 13, 2019March 5, 2023 by Eric Abneri

The Minnesota Twins shared on their twitter today that they will be using this commemorative baseball for the day they are retiring Joe Mauer’s number 7. As we can see, there is a sort of strange silhouette of Mauer, as well as pinstripes behind Mauer’s number 7 below his name. There is a tiny twins…

Rangers Surprise us all and use Beltre Number Retirement ball!

Posted on June 9, 2019 by Eric Abneri

Unexpectedly, the Texas Rangers used this ball tonight (6/8/19) to commemorate the retirement of Adrian Beltre’s number 29. The logo itself is very very weak, beside the big numbers it just has his name below them, except for one tiny detail. If you look in-between “Adrian” and “Beltre” you can see the very tiny signature…

2019 London Series ball is … lackluster as expected

Posted on March 29, 2019March 5, 2023 by Eric Abneri

As you can see above, the London Series commemorative baseball is highly boring. It is very similar to this logo originally used for the promotion of the series, but I was hoping for a Union Jack. The MLB Logo and the 19 look so out of place, its a shame they went in this direction,…

Braves use baseball commemorating the first game in their new complex!

Posted on March 25, 2019May 20, 2019 by Eric Abneri

In an unexpected development, we have had our first surprise commemorative used this season. The Atlanta Braves used a commemorative baseball featuring their logo and “First Game” at their new spring training complex. We always get surprises during the season about commemorative baseballs, but I can really say I had no insight or expectation of…

Boring strikes for the third time! Home Run Derby Baseballs once again the same

Posted on March 23, 2019March 5, 2023 by Eric Abneri

For the third straight year, the home run derby baseballs feature the same exact logo, with the year being the only difference. Here it is above. Below, we have this years moneyball, the pink leather going around the horseshoe and the exact same HRD logo. Oh, and do not forget the T-Mobile logo, because hail…

EXCLUSIVE! Mariners to use Edgar Martinez HOF 2019 Commemorative!

Posted on March 16, 2019March 5, 2023 by Eric Abneri

Last night, I found a photoshopped image of an Edgar Martinez HOF 19 logo on a baseball on the Seattle Mariners’ social media pages. I reached out to the senior vice president of marketing and communication for the Mariners, Kevin Martinez. I got a quick reply, confirming its use. We will play with a baseball…
