We just got renderings of two baseballs that will be used in international series this year! The Dominican Republic game will be an exhibition during spring training, and the Mexico Series will take place during the regular season. I am satisfied with the look of both of these baseballs.
This ball is pretty simplistic, but I like it a lot. It features a similar font variation with capital and lowercase mixed letters. It has the year 2020, and the iconic MLB logo (yet in a smaller form than usual). Both team logos is great, I think that is really cool. That has been done on many baseballs in the early 2000s when they did international games/series. Overall, pretty good, could have been better, but pretty good! You can find these on eBay, here.
Like the above baseball, it has the year 2020 and it has the small MLB logo. It looks somewhat similar to last year’s Mexico Series baseball, but this year’s has a different font, and I am not so sure I like it. It also features something the DR baseball does not, the city. It has Mexico City below the “Mexico Series” word-mark. Obviously this is not the same as last year’s location, so that is another difference. Would have loved to see the team logos or date of the series. Overall, its okay, nothing fantastic, but I guess it could have been worse. You can find these on eBay, here.
