The 2023 MLB season is still in full swing, but we recently got a sneak peak at what 2024 may look like with the MLB schedule release. Today, July 17th, there was an exciting leak of the 2024 ASG Logo, with the ball to come very soon.
Lets start with the 2024 ASG Logo.

It is here, and it is beautiful. Before it was officially released, some merch popped up on MLBShop with the official 2024 All Star Game logo!
My initial reaction is that of glory, this is an absolute gem of a logo. I won’t go so far to say it is extremely complex, but it is everything an ASG logo should be. It has the outline of the state of Texas (which is the exact same as a part of the rangers logo) and interestingly it has a bit of red, and a bit of powder blue. This means we will likely see red and blue stitches, being powder or navy, likely navy. It is surrounded by a circular outline as well, and I cannot exactly tell what the small logos are, but I believe the stars are stars of Texas, which happens to go along nicely with the theme of an All Star Game. Looking forward to getting a closer look. It is always possible they ditch this outline for the ball though, and it is just the texas outline and wordmark.
This is a nice segway into my next topic of discussion, wordmarks! The font for this is very similar to some of the ones we have seen for MLB events lately, with a little more flair. I do like it, but they’re going to get old, quick. Next season, we will see similar logos and wordmarks for the repeat international events.
Lets run through the 2024 MLB events. I will get into particular team anniversaries and events closer to 2024. We won’t see these in baseball form for many months.

Spring Training DR Series – MLB has gone all in on the world tour. I expect them to use this branding for years to come. The sad part about it is that it’s not giving us fun logos. Each international series has been very similar, consisting of an MLB logo, the World Tour wordmark, and the series wordmark and year. This one is a bit lame in my opinion.

Seoul Series – I do like this wordmark, but it is a copycat of the exact one that was being used for the 2022 Korea All Star Tour that was cancelled. I also note this is the first time the international opener is not being marketed as the “Opening Series”.
Opening Day – Sadly a repeat of what we have had for many years now. Not much to say here.
Jackie, Lou, and Clemente Day – MLB has standardized the logos for these three days, but refuses to put them on baseballs (with the exception of Lou balls for first pitch and charity purposes).
Mexico City Series – Sadly this is a repeat of last year’s design and the ball is likely to look the exact same with just a change of year.
London Series – Like the Mexico City Series, this is sadly a repeat of last year’s design and the ball is likely to look the exact same with just a change of year.
Rickwood game – Logo yet to be revealed. Holding out hope for a ball here!
Game 162 – I want to note that while there will NOT be a logo for 162, this is likely the way the World Series logo is going to look, with this half gold skinny wordmark.
Here is a link to Rawlings Amazon page where you can always find commemoratives (or standard ROMLBs) from 2023 or other years!
That is all for now. I will make a post when we see the 2024 ASG Ball in the flesh, or when something else comes up. Feel free to reach out to me at ericabneri@hallofcommemoratives.com. Thanks for reading!
