No Spring Training Commemoratives for 2021

In what was hopefully going to be the first commemorative baseballs of the 2021 season, it has been revealed that there will be no Spring Training commemoratives for the 2021 season. This will be the first season since 2015 without a Spring Training commemorative, as the Grapefruit and Cactus Leagues from 2016-2020 used one yearly.

While this is upsetting news, it does not come with a great level of surprise. The reasoning I was given is because of the “excess left over from a partial Spring Training last year”, and also because of the low amount of fans who will be in attendance for Spring Training this season. This has me wondering if there will be a similar effect for the regular season, and the early hint to me from a few teams is yes.

I hope to have a 2021 commemorative preview for all of you soon, and it should be a season with a few nice balls! There has not been anything officially confirmed for the 2021 season yet, but I have a working list and am currently in the process of attempting to confirm.
