With the reveal of the 2020 ASG logo at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday, I have been searching for the baseball since then. Big thanks to Bret Nelson (@bnelson9 on Twitter) for getting these pics for met at Dodger Stadium today!!
The logo is very very small, but that is to be expected. The multicolored stitching surprised me a little bit, I presumed they would go with the white and blue or a type of grey and blue. As always, the baseball says “Official 2020 All Star Game Baseball”. I believe the logo on the ball is the exact same as the primary logo for the ASG itself. A nice return after the departure to a boring logo last season.
When we look at the logo, the first thing that jumps out to me is the enormous star. I presume this is a nod to Hollywood/the all stars themselves. The next thing I see is the outline of the famous dodger stadium scoreboard. I love this look. I also love the size of the MLB logo. I also like the size of the “LA” interlocking logo as well. MLB and the Dodgers did a fantastic job on this baseball. Can not wait to see it in use next season!
